What we can learn from this as a christian
"Mummification has nothing to do with Christianity or the bible. We can, however, realise that people and nations without any knowledge of the God of the bible still believe in life after death and will engage in religious activities in an attempt to establish hope for immortality. In the case of mummification, its a futile hope that offers a false sense of security. Jesus alone saves us from death to offer eternal life, this is an everlasting hope."
