Mummification
To Mummify the body they dry it with a natural salt called natron. They remove vital organs. The body is washed then filled with resin, bundles of linen and wrapped with long lenghths of linen bandages and is placed among many protective amulets. The body is then placed in a nest of mummy cases covered with magical spells and protective artworks." The lungs, intestines, liver and stomach removed from the body are preserved and stored separatly in Canopic jars."
